Implementation Engineer - Reporting to the Service Operations Manager 

Awarix is currently seeking an Implementation Engineer to fill a vital role in supporting the health care industry in adopting real-time enterprise patient care and quality metric information products. The Implementation Engineer will work as a cross-functional team member of the Operations organization to fulfill roles in both the Implementation and Service departments. The individual that fills this position will have strong customer interaction and must possess excellent communication skills. Specific responsibilities of this position include:

• Develops materials related to customer training on Awarix products
• Assists in the training of Awarix products to both internal and external customers
• Identifies issues and features in the Awarix products which may be improved
• Collects, analyzes, and reports customer feedback on Awarix products
• Assists in on-site implementation activities under the direction of an assigned Project Manager
• Provides application support including hardware maintenance, trouble shooting, component replacement, installation support, and configuration of Awarix products
• Assists in identifying areas which may be improved in the processes and procedures related to customer support, installation, and delivery of Awarix products
• Other duties as necessary/assigned

Skills:

• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Documentation and presentation skills
• Strong knowledge of the Windows operating system and the ability to trouble shoot installed applications
• Understanding of basic networking functionality and skills (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS)
• UNIX/Linux knowledge and support is strongly desired
• Understanding of JAVA based applications is desired
• Understanding of RPM packages, HL7 experience, and XML/XSLT/SVG experience is a plus

Requirements:

• Requires (1 – 3) one to three years of application support experience in a heterogeneous computing environment or an equivalent level of collegiate or professional coursework
• A Bachelor's degree is desired, preferably in Healthcare Informatics, Computer Science, Information Systems or a similar field of study from an accredited institution
• Ability to travel 60% of the time
